Sister School

King’s College Connection T-shirt Drive

Thank you for supporting our sister school, King Elementary, by purchasing a college T-shirt for a less advantaged student.  We reached our goal and outfitted EACH AND EVERY King student with a college T-shirt!!!  Each year these shirts have inspired the students at King to dream about the possibilities their future could hold with a college degree.

Please see the Sign Up Genius below. If you decide to drive the Sycamore kiddos you have to be cleared by SRVUSD to be a volunteer and driver.

We will be ready to leave Sycamore at about 8:45 am. We will return before 1:50 bell. Permissions slips for kids to attend is coming from Sycamore. Kiddos and Volunteers should bring a lunch! The more volunteers we have the faster delivery will be! The more the merrier! We hope you can join us in the fun!!

Thank you,

Sister School Team

Angela, Vicki and Tara.

The Sister School Program is a district-wide, PTA-sponsored program that began in 1994 as Cross County Books/Clothes. Currently, the majority of San Ramon Valley Unified District (SRVUSD) schools participate in the program. These schools are partnered with schools located in Richmond, San Pablo, Antioch, Pittsburg, Concord and Oakland. Each participating school/PTA unit in the SRVUSD has a Sister School Representative coordinating the program.

Mission Statement

The Sister School philanthropic program benefits the students of the San Ramon Valley Unified School District (SRVUSD) by fostering civic responsibility, enhancing community engagement, promoting volunteerism, and by teaching the joy of helping others in need.

This goal is accomplished by partnering each school in the SRVUSD with a partner school in a neighboring disadvantaged area of the East Bay. Through collaborative determination of need, schools in the SRVUSD conduct a minimum of two drives and/or fundraisers per year for items that benefit the children of their sister schools.
